November 1, 2008 - NHDF and CHDA Jointly Sponsored Emerging Technologies Day on October 27th, 2008
As part of the Homeland Defense/Homeland Security Symposium VI, the National Homeland Defense Foundation and the Colorado Homeland Defense Alliance jointly sponsored an "Emerging Technologies Day" on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. The purpose of the event was to bring together government agencies and large prime contractors searching for innovative solutions and the small businesses and university research teams developing next generation technologies to support these needs. The day included presentations on state, national and international government technology priorities, research and early stage concepts under development, and ways these ideas can be further developed together through partnerships, R&D grants, and procurement contracts. This pre-symposium event was attended by over 100 people and offered 13 displays of emerging technologies from universities, small companies and government agencies. The day served as a window to possible solutions for the issues being discussed in the remainder of the symposium. To learn more, visit www.nhdf.org
