September 10, 2009 - High Altitude and Near Space Conference

Colorado Homeland Defense Alliance is co-sponsoring The Inaugural High Altitude and Near Space Conference, presented by The Rocky Mountain Technology Alliance, being held October 19-21, 2009 at The Inverness Hotel and Conference Center in Englewood, Colorado.

Keynote Speakers include:

Colorado Lt. Gov. Barbara O'Brien, Co-Chair of Colorado Space Coalition. Lt. Gov. O'Brien will speak on space and near space opportunities in Colorado.

Major General Larry Stutzriem, Director, Plans, Policy and Strategy, NORAD/USNORTHCOM, will present, "Importance of High Altitude and Near Space Capability to Homeland Defense and Disaster Response." 

Mr. Steve Landeene is the Executive Director of Spaceport America New Mexico. Mr. Landeene's topic will be "New Mexico Spaceport America and the Future of Commercial Space Flight." 

Major General Michael C. Kostelnik, USAF (Ret.), Assistant Commissioner, Office of CBP Air & Marine, US Customs and Border Protection, will present "Homeland Security and the Importance of High Altitude and Near Space Capabilities."
